Ok so recently I have been having all these light bulb moments. You know, those instances where in a single second, you find the meaning you have been searching for your whole life! Yeh those.
So this one I want to share with you guys, especially for those of you hat are finding it hard to move away from your unavailable men or from those bad breakups.
Here is something that dawned me as I was listening to a CD from a relationship expert. At the time she was talking about finding your perfect soul mate, and how in order to do that then you needed to clear some negative emotions that may be holding you back.
But one of the most profound things that she said, was that you don’t have to ever stop loving any man.
That essentially you could love more than one man in your life. She even said that she loves many men, but at the same time, rarely thinks about them.

Recently I had to travel to the US, and one particular issue kept coming up.
My travelling buddy, while really sweet and easy going, was slowly driving me insane. I thought I was going to pull my own hair out and wanted to give him a happy pill or something, just so he would be able to talk faster instead of taking 5 minutes to think of a response to anything I said! My main frustration was that this guy could not make a decision for the life of him!! He was travelling with me because he is meant to be that little bit more savvy, but honestly it would have been better travelling with a stuffed toy!
So here is the thing: This guy could not make a decision, said YES to everything that I asked him, and seemed to have no sense of opinion himself, and on top of that was a complete and utter people pleaser! I don’t know about you guys, but isn’t this something that you would find just irritating? Mind you, some of you may be thinking that it would be great to have such an easy going traveling buddy…

Knowing When To Stand Your Ground

So in the short time that I have been giving advice through my blog I have had a lot of people ask me question specifically to do with their situation.
Usually it goes something along the lines of it.
There is this guy .. and he has cheated on me .. doesn’t respect me … is emotionally unavailable … is a womanizer … is an alcoholic … is mentally sick …
What should I do .. because I love him.
Usually I spend the next 4-5 emails trying to get these girls in line and doing my best for them to get some perspective.
So now I’m going to ask you guys a question: How badly do you need to be treated?? .. to finally wake up to the fact that you need to walk away? Or you need to set some ground rules? Or that you can find something better?

Ok I have to admit something to you guys, I was having a little trouble of thinking of something to talk to you about and while I was surfing the site, I thought to myself, “OK! I get it!! There is a lot of baggage that we have out there. About ourselves, about relationships, and about life. Right now we are in baggage wonderland!”
And while I would love to indulge in that for a little longer, I came to the conclusion that we really need to stop enjoying wallowing in our own baggage and in our own pity.
I know I know .. I’m going to p*ss some of you off when I say that but this is as much of an epiphany for YOU as it is for ME.
