Great post NML. I have the habit of trying to date my "nice guy" friends, and then getting bored with them quickly and moving on! I really think all those fairytales and romance novels have totally screwed up my expectations.

Problem is, I know too much about these "nice guy" friends, and their weaknesses tend to be similar to mine. Hence the reason we're friends! But then I get irritated and annoyed at them for not being strong (emotionally, etc...) when I think they should - and feel like they're one of my girlfriends, instead of a boyfriend....

Basically, its a vicious cycle...I've finally sworn off relationships for a while and am currently getting myself together.

Thanks for the amazing insight...
