Dating trend: Flirting In Traffic
July 17, 2006 by NML
If you’re single there’s a good chance that you keep an eye out for new ways to meet people and the latest online dating idea comes from US based Flirting In Traffic. You need to create a profile where you can upload photos of yourself and your car, plus share your interests. A FIT ID is created and you have the option of printing out the PDF or purchasing a sticker for your car which you can proudly display so that other members recognise you in traffic. If you have mobile internet access you can make a connection immediately when you spot a FIT member in traffic that you like the look of, or you can follow up your pursuits online.
Lots of people date online, but many don’t openly talk about it, so it will be interesting to see how well this site takes off. Also what about big cities where people tend to use public transport? Are we to see the arrival of stickers on our backs signifying our singledom?
Ultimately it’s an extension to online dating and you can correspond with any members that take your interest without ever having to get in your car and scour the roads for them. But it will add some fun to your car journey if you happen to live in one of the 44 states that this site covers. Unfortunately if you live outside of the US, you don’t get to join in the fun at the moment!
