Thanks, NML (I kinda forgot that I commented here and I just now read your comment)! I’m still not 100% sure if I can “blame” my dad - or my mom - for my relationship problems, but I see what you’re saying. I guess in a way, it doesn’t really matter WHY it happened, so long as I do something about it NOW.

I’m making progress ladies (and men)! Yes, I still think about my EUM more often than I’d like, but it’s been just over 3 months and I haven’t contacted him once! Woo hoo! I also noticed my mood has inexplicably improved the past few days. I’m making plans for my career and feel good about the direction I’m headed. To those of you just starting NC - DON’T GIVE UP!! You can do this too!!

I immediately zoned in on Sienna when the topless Getty story broke, and thought, wait a second, is this a repeat of the Jude Law thing or what? I see it all the time in the media, music videos, tv shows and movies. Women with EUMS and it’s all wrapped up and pretty with a happy ending…the guy always sees what a great gal she is and now he will give her the relationship she wants. I saw a music video a few weeks ago featuring a female trio of singers patting themselves on the back singing about creeping around with another woman’s boyfriend. Like this was something cool. Sometimes looking at the lives of those in the public eye can give a great example of our own bad situations and opportunities to learn from rather than emulate.

Amy T - Well it’s not about perfection it’s more about how you interact with them. It’s also not about having a bad father. He can be there, but not ‘there’. He may put you so high on a pedestal or chase off any boyfriends you have. He may not say much or do much, and he may not express any or very little feelings. I’m not saying that’s your father, but many FB’s are this way also because of dodgy mum relationships. Just ask myself and Lisa Q!

NML, you talk about ‘Daddy issues’. I certainly see this in some girls. But, my dad is a wonderful man - still married to my mom after about 40 years, was never abusive, not a workaholic or alcoholic or anything like that. So I’ve never understood why I go for EUMs. My dad and I don’t have a perfect relationship (but what’s perfect in this world?), but I love and value him and I know he feels the same way about me. Guess I just got messed up on my own!

The Cheater, only thinks about himself. If he thought past his ego and his erection and gave some genuine consideration to the people he professes to love and care about, he wouldn’t be cheating; he’d be sorting himself out.

Oh, my, does THAT say it all!!! And must it not be a thrill to know that two women feel so much that you are or could be, if they knew, upsetting them both!? Ego all the way. My XMM was 59 (I’m same) and hadn’t really had strong erections for years and told me EVERY time it happened, which was often, when we spoke on the phone or internet chat. After many months, it seemed that there should be another topic of equal interest to him??? Nope!
