Heartbreak Hotel

Breaking up is hard to do and you feel pretty crap afterwards, but maybe we don’t have to feel so crap anymore as there are Heartbreak Hotels popping up. Yes, there are a number of hotels that are catering to people that are recovering from heartbreak by offering ‘heartbreak packages’. According to Happen Magazine “They’re offering packages that come complete with pints of ice cream, therapeutic reading material, and king-size beds so you can start relishing your ability to spread out while you sleep. Sure, they’re notcheap, but hey, what’s a few hundred bucks to ease the pain at this difficult hour?”
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t recall eating when I break-up, in fact quite the opposite, but there’s different strokes for different folks. Most people I know take solace in that thing that money can’t buy, which is your girlfriends. But just in case you are tempted by the lure of the Heartbreak Hotel concept, hotels trying it so far are The Magnolia Hotel in Houston in Texas, the House of Blues Hotel in Chicago, and Arawak Beach Inn in Anguilla, yes the Caribbean! Apparently this concept is very popular, so I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before they arrive in the UK. If you have visited a Heartbreak Hotel, we’d love to hear from you!
