First, our bodies are made to come together. Men and women enjoy intimate attentions from a partner. I see an intimate encounter as receiving a gift from a lady. Second is religious teaching and social roles. Men feel bound to accept any inimate offer from a lady, as a gift. While women may also enjoy accepting intimate attentions, socially she is 'giving away' 'marrital attentions'. I note the role of Father of the Bride 'giving away' the daughter into the keeping of her groom. Seems like there is reason to feel the daughter's behavior reflects on Daddy, and is not the free act of an adult. (There is a *reason* it all seems confusing!) Two different problems here.
