NYC Sex Bar

Welcome back! Have you got my ebooks - The No Contact Rule and Mr Unavailable & The Fallback Girl? Also become a fan of Baggage Reclaim on Facebook, follow me onTwitter, and join the forum.

Rockstar Pete Wentz of the Fall Out Boysv(I have no clue who they are) have opened up a bar in the East Village, NYC, where the patrons can have sex in the bathroom without repercussions. His girlfriend Ashlee Simpson is quoted as saying
“We’d had enough of all the pretentious clubs with strict door policies which feel uptight when you finally get in.”

‘Strict door policies’ and ‘uptight’? That may well be the case but does that mean that there should be a free for all to shag your brains out in some scuzzy club toilet? Even Pete refers to it as “…a bit of a dive, which we need. We finally have a place where all our loser friends can hang out!”

What a twat! What next? A bar where you can openly do heroin, crack and coke? A bar where you can have sex in the middle of the dancefloor?

What might be a nightmare for Centers for Disease Control, public health, and parents, .. I think the most positive phrase is ‘thinning the gene pool’.

The saddest part is the number of naive youngsters that will be attracted by the ‘free sex’ major media and advertising push harder than Hustler and Playboy ever did. But then I am a romantic. Harrison Ford’s line from Six Days, Seven Nights comes to mind, ‘It’s an island, babe. If you don’t bring it here, you won’t find it here.’ Spoken under the influence (in the movie) about romance, it also applies to friendship, respect, and even a longer-term relationship than ‘hurry, that was last call!’

Or maybe they have bathroom monitors to be sure only committed, sober couples ever mess around in semi-public.
